  1. I've seen so many posts recently about toxic people and how to spot them.

But we all have toxic tendencies, every single one of us.

I'm quite a strong person, so I know what I want and for the most part I won't take other people's shit.

And many people see those qualities as admirable. But those qualities also have the potential to be perceived as me being a self absorbed know it all.

But should I tone down who I am just because some people don't like it or can't deal with it?

    Absolutely not!

None of us are perfect, not a single one of us, and feel free to correct me on that point.

Instead of pointing out the flaws of others, and trying to hold them accountable for their flaws, perhaps, just perhaps, it's time we started working on ourselves, because I promise you, when we start working on improving ourselves, what other people are or aren't doing, is not an issue.

We won't label or judge because we won't care.

When we begin to hold ourselves accountable for what is going on in our life, and take responsibility for our own choices, then we are free from what we perceive to be the influence of other people. No-one can can hold anything over us, unless we allow them to.

Don't get me wrong, the inner work is not a five minute job, it's a life long process. But perhaps with a New Year just around the corner, now is as good a time as any to start xx

  2. It still amazes me when I forget and then I suddenly remember.

I mean, we all know we create our own reality right! And for the most part I thrive on that knowing, and yet sometimes, just sometimes, my current reality smacks me hard I the face, and I’m left floundering, thinking “how can this have happened?”

But what I’ve forgotten is that I don’t have to face a reality, that I don’t want. There are umpteen realities out there, and this current one is just one of them. And if I don’t like it, I can change it, or should I say I can move myself into one that I do like.

And how do I do that?

Well, first of all, by refusing to accept that what I’m currently faced with, is going to define me, and secondly by giving more of my attention to the dream reality that I would like to live in.

It’s also important to remember that where we are at any point in time, was once a dream that we have manifested into our reality. And it will never be perfect, because we didn’t come here for perfection. Perfection would mean that we were done, and we will never be done because we are constantly being called towards growth and expansion, which wouldn’t be possible in a perfect world as there would be nowhere left for us to go.

And it’s thrilling indeed when we finally remember that thing that we’d forgotten to look for, even if it was only briefly, and to realize that it never actually left us, we just decided to focus somewhere else for a bit xx
